Warminster Looks To Sell Water, Sewer Systems
The township's board of supervisors will be asked to approve beginning negotiations at a meeting on Thursday.
WARMINSTER, PA — Officials in Warminster are looking to hand the township's water and sewer systems over to a private company.
At their meeting on Thursday, Warminsters Board of Supervisors will be asked to authorize negotiations for the sale of both systems, Township Manager Gregg Schuster said in a letter to residents.
Schuster said that township staff analyzed Warminster's finances and has received multiple offers to take over the water and sewer systems. He emphasized that, if the board approves the measure, it will merely be the beginning of a process and no vote to finalize a sale will be taken this week.

"The recommendation that will be put forth will put the township on solid financial ground," Schuster said in the letter. "It will also lock in a clean water supply for residents while keeping taxes and fees reasonable."
According to Schuster "false information posted on social media" already has started spreading about a potential deal. He said the township has put a lot of effort into analyzing the situation and urged residents to tune into this week's meeting "so that they can hear the facts."
