Warminster Names New Supervisors Chair, Vice Chair
Warminster Township held its reorganization meeting Tuesday in which its leadership changed roles. A new supervisor was also sworn in.

WARMINSTER, PA —Before a packed house, the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors welcomed a new member to its ranks.
"This is always a wonderful meeting," Supervisors Chairman Kenneth Hayes said at the beginning. "Our manager's (Tom Scott) favorite meeting of the year."
In his final appearance at District Justice, Daniel Finello swore in new Supervisor Chuck Heybach and Auditor Jayne Taylor at the township's reorganization meeting on Tuesday night.

The judge said that he would receive emails called "Chuck Talks" —emails in which Heybach presented ideas and thoughts about the township.
"It was very, very informative and told you a lot about Chuck," the judge said. "He's a straight-talking gentleman. He's a hard-working union person who goes to work every day. He understands what a lot of people in this township are going through. And here he stands tonight."

Heybach received support from members of his Local 690 plumbers union, who gave him a round of applause after he took the oath of office.
Heybach took the seat vacated by longtime Supervisor Mark McKee, who opted not to seek re-election. McKee wrapped up his 12 years as a supervisor at the end of the year.
"We say it every year Jayne, we would like a raise," Hayes stated to chuckles from his supervisor colleagues. "We would like to go from 39 cents an hour to 40 cents an hour."
Hayes nominated Supervisor Kathy Frescatore as council president, replacing himself.
"It's been an honor for me to serve as chair of this board to take the township from struggles with the support of this board and turn it into a very healthy township that is a great place to live."
Frescatore said, "Ken Hayes has been one of the best chairs we've ever had."
"We all work in tandem. We're all rowing in the same direction now and it is awesome," she said.
Frescatore nominated Hayes as vice chairman of the supervisors.
Supervisor Judy Hoover nominated Heybach as treasurer and Supervisor Janice Charlton nominated Hoover as secretary.
Finance Director John Ramey was named as the assistant township treasurer and Scott as the assistant township secretary.
Supervisors made other appointments for township solicitor and other boards and committees.
