18 year old Matt Snyder of Warminster will perform with Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ on March 8
Matt Snyder, a Warminster resident and 18 year old student at Archbishop Wood High School, will perform as a member of the School of Rock All Stars in a concert on Sunday, 3/8 at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ. Butch Trucks, a founding member of 1995 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees the Allman Brothers Band, will be a featured guest with the All Stars, and will play a repertoire featuring many of the Allman’s signature songs as well as some of Trucks’ favorites.
“Playing with a drummer of Butch’s stature will be unforgettable and awesome,” says Snyder, who studies guitar at School of Rock Doylestown, an after school music program. “As a member of the Allman Brothers, he’s used to being surrounded by some of the world’s top musicians, and we’ll do our best to show him the high level of playing and performing that the All Stars can deliver.”
The School of Rock All Stars is comprised of talented teen musicians from across the tri-state area. Songs that will be performed by Trucks and the All Stars will include “Whipping Post”, “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed”, “Dreams”, “Layla”, “Stormy Monday”, and many others.
