• Smoke alarms are one of the most critical prevention tools used to stop fire deaths.
• Location.Smoke alarms shall be installed in the following locations:
  • in each sleeping room.
  • outside each separate sleeping area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms.
  • on each additional storyof the dwelling
• Interconnection is the best – if one “smells smoke”, they all sound
• All smoke detectors should be tested at least 2 times a year
• Smoke detectors older than 10 years should be replaced
• Know 2 ways out – and meet a special location
