Warminster Twp Board Requests Federal Funding for Police Equipment
Letter to Representative Brian Fitzpatrick Formally Endorses Request

The Warminster Township Board of Supervisors, through a letter to U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R, PA 1), has requested an appropriation of $1.2 million from the federal government for Fiscal Year 2026 to purchase additional technology for the police department. This technology includes in-vehicle cameras, data terminals and radios.
While Township funds have been budgeted for the police department for the coming fiscal year, the Board believes that these additional funds are necessary to both upgrade the department’s equipment and enhance its efforts to ensure public safety.
Kenneth M. Hayes, Chairman, Warminster Township Board of Supervisors stated in the letter to Fitzpatrick, "The funds will provide the police department additional resources and improve their effective and timely response to crime, traffic accidents and calls for assistance within the community.” He continued, “Warminster Township is committed to enhancing the quality of life, reducing crime and promoting public safety in our community. This appropriation request will be instrumental in helping us achieve these goals.” The letter is available on the Township website at https://warminstertownship.org/chairman-hayes-letter-to-rep-fitzpatrick/ and is copied above.
