Accomplishment: Alexandra is the winner of $5,600 from the Connelly Foundation's prestigious Neumann Scholarship Program. The program, named for St. John Neumann, began in 1955 and offers a full four-year scholarship to students meeting specific academic criteria. The recipients must attend one of the 20 Archdiocesan high schools.

Key to Awesomeness: Alexandra was selected out of 836 who qualified to take the scholarship exam. A student must have a 92 average to qualify.
She plans to attend Archbishop Wood High School.

Part of Alexandra's winning entry was based on her essay about how her family participates in the community. She loves to write and previously won an essay contest on patriotism that was sponsored by the VFW.
Alexandra aspires to be a teacher and was described by friends at the award assembly as "smart, nice and a great friend."
