Warminster Woman, 52, Involved In Fatal Hit-And-Run Near Peddler's Village: Police

A 31-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run involving a Warminster woman, Buckingham Twp Police say.

A 31-year-old Buckingham Township man was killed Thursday afternoon in a hit-and-run while walking near Peddler's Village, police confirmed. The driver of the car, which was later located in New Hope, has been identified as a 52-year-old woman from Warminster.

Police said the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was found dead along the 5700 block of Rt. 202 around 2 p.m. The striking vehicle did not stop and was seen driving north on Route 202, police said.

Witnesses from the scene provided police with a description of the striking vehicle, which was located on Rt. 179 in New Hope. The driver's name has not yet been released.

The immediate family of the victim has been notified but police said they are withholding his name to allow for extended family notification.

The driver was transported to Doylestown Hospital for further investigation. The incident closed a portion of Rt. 202 as authorities investigated.
