Warminster Woman Run Over By Husband Last July Still Unconscious
A year after the incident, the 32-year-old Warminster woman remains in a "vegetative state" and is sustained by feeding tube, the DA said.

A Warminster man who authorities say was driving drunk when his wife fell from his pickup truck and was subsequently run over by his landscaping trailer pleaded no contest to felony assault and hit-and-run charges Monday morning in Bucks County Common Pleas Court, authorities said.
A year after the incident, his 32-year-old wife remains in an "an unresponsive, vegetative state" and is sustained by feeding tube, according to Robert James, the deputy Bucks County District Attorney.
Andrew Lawrence Ryan, 32, pleaded no contest to felony charges of aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident involving death or injury, and to misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence, as well as reckless driving, a summary offense.

If Robin Ryan dies as a result of her injuries, the plea does not rule out charging Andrew Ryan with homicide, James said.
The incident occurred on July 24, 2017 in Falls Township. Authorities say Andrew Ryan had been drinking when he and his wife were driving along the 100 block of Lincoln Highway.

Witnesses told police they heard tires screeching and saw the pickup truck speeding and swerving hard just before Robin Ryan flew from the cab, landing head-first. Witnesses told investigators she flew out of the truck backwards, and one told police it appeared she had been pushed from the cab.
The truck was hauling a landscaping trailer, which ran her over as Andrew Ryan sped away, authorities said. Witnesses found her unconscious and unresponsive, bleeding heavily from her head, ears, nose and mouth, according to authorities.
Robin Ryan suffered severe traumatic brain injury, multiple broken bones, and other injuries as a result.
State police stopped the truck on Trenton Road in Fairless Hills less than 10 minutes later. Andrew Ryan appeared to be intoxicated and admitted to drinking before driving. He had a blood alcohol concentration of .12 percent, police said.
Andrew Ryan told police that he was with his wife at a bar before leaving for Warminster to pick up their daughter. He said he had four beers and two shots of tequila, and that the two of them had been bickering about finances, according to the District Attorney's office.
He will be sentenced in September. Aggravated assault carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. Leaving an accident involving death or injury has a maximum penalty of seven years and $15,000.
