Rain Cancels Warminster Football Practice

WARMINSTER, PA —They wanted to practice Tuesday. But it looks like the remnants of Hurricane Ian had other ideas.

So the Warminster Pioneers Football & Cheerleading squads threw in the towel and canceled practice.

"The fields are closed due to some recent precipitation," the youth football and cheer organization posted tongue-in-cheek on its Facebook page, showing a flooded field that wasn't theirs.

An organization member, in a Messenger conversation with Patch, said the post was a parody based on the recent weather over the past few days.

They ended their message saying, "Stay Dry" and asked people to check emails and team communication for further updates regarding team practices for the week.
