Woman Duct-Taped To Pole In Warminster Domestic Dispute: PD

Warminster Township Police charged a husband in the December domestic disturbance.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — A 34-year-old man was taken into custody after he had tied and duct taped his wife to a pole in the family's basement during a domestic disturbance, police said.

Shahboz Nizomov was being held in Bucks County Prison after Warminster Township Police responded on Dec. 20 to a domestic incident in the 1200 block on Bellemede Drive.

According to a criminal complaint, Bucks County Radio told police that someone was yelling "Help Me" when a man got on the phone. Police asked if there was an emergency. The man said he would check, but ended the call.

Police were told that Nizomov had tried to hit her. The wife said that he was "intoxicated and has a history of anger issues." The woman said the couple was separated at the time, the court affidavit said.

Police found Nizomov outside, who told them that the two had gotten into an argument three days before the altercation because he is a truck driver and is not home a lot. He told police that the argument did not get physical, the complaint stated.

The victim said she got into an argument over the phone again, resulting in her husband coming home angry. The complaint states that Nizomov bound her arms and legs with tape.

She said her husband dragged her down into the basement and tied her to a pole using the tape. Police observed scraps of red electrical tape on the floor near the pole.

The woman said she was able to escape the tape by scratching off the tape on her arms, then ripping off the rest, the complaint states.

She also displayed scratches to her chest and left shoulder from previous arguments, the complaint states.

While police were upstairs in the kitchen, a large amount of red electrical tape was found in the trash can. One portion, containing hair on it, was shaped like restraints.

Based on his wife's injuries and the tape that was found in the trash can, Nizomov was taken into custody for domestic assault, police said.

He was charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault, and harassment/physical contact.

Photographs were taken of the victim's injuries and of the tape scraps.
