Winter Weather Warning Issued For Lower Bucks County

Lower Bucks County is expected to receive an inch of rain and several inches of snow from a storm starting Monday, forecasters said.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Lower Bucks County in anticipation of the storm that is expected to start Monday and bring some snow accumulations to the region.

The National Weather Service for Philadelphia/Mount Holly said the advisory goes into effect from 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The weather service has also issued a coastal flood advisory from 1 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Lower Bucks County is expected to see 4 to 7 inches of snow, the National Weather Service said. Upper Bucks County is expected to get higher accumulations.

As a nor’easter moves up the coast, Lower Bucks County will see a mixture of rain and snow Monday night into Tuesday morning, forecasters said.

The storm will start as rain and switch to snow early Tuesday morning.

The weather service said Lower Bucks could see an inch of rain before the change to snow.

Monday

  • Mostly cloudy. Highs around 50. Northeast winds around 5 mph, becoming southwest this afternoon.

Monday Night

  • Rain likely in the evening, then rain or snow after midnight. Snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Lows in the mid-30s. East winds around 5 mph, increasing to 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Tuesday
Snow or rain in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times in the morning. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Cooler with highs in the upper 30s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph, becoming northwest in the afternoon. Gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Tuesday Night
Mostly clear. Cold with lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday
Sunny. Highs in the upper 30s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
