YMCA of Warminster Reopens Following Evacuation

The Warminster YMCA had to evacuate due to a fire department response on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warninster YMCA has reopened following an incident on Wednesday afternoon that caused the building to be evacuated.

The YMCA said the fire was dispatched to the Warminster YMCA at 624 York Road due to a strong odor and haze resulting from work being done on the roof.

Officials said the YMCA was evacuated while the fire department evaluated the situation.

There was no fire or cause for concern found by fire officials, and the YMCA was reopened.

The YMCA is operating all programs, and classes are running as scheduled on Thursday.
