• Amenities of new Steel Valley Elementary School garners ‘tremendous' excitement (triblive.com) — Families in West Homestead, Homestead, and Munhall will soon send their children to the new Steel Valley Elementary School, opening August 31 with modern classrooms and added busing for elementary students. The $56 million PreK-5 building replaces Park and Barrett schools and features a STREAM lab, outdoor learning patios, safety-focused design, sensory rooms, and flexible spaces aimed at boosting critical thinking and collaboration.
