The program funds trucks, refrigerators, and other equipment so groups can rescue more surplus food, cut landfill waste, and keep fresh groceries available for local families in need.
• Penn Vet Starts Construction on $94 Million Chester County Lab (mychesco.com) — A major new $94 million veterinary diagnostic lab is being built at Penn Vet's New Bolton Center in Chester County, consolidating operations now partly housed at West Chester University. The state-backed project will expand animal-disease testing and horse-racing oversight, with completion expected in 2028 and a move-in target of 2029, strengthening the region's agricultural and life-sciences infrastructure.
