Barry Baker Jr. Alleges Abuse In Chesco Prison: Report
The man accused of sucker punching a man with cerebral palsy is claiming guards at the facility roughed him up in late July.

WEST CHESTER, PA – Barry Baker Jr., the man accused of mocking then assaulting a man with cerebral palsy, is claiming guards at the Chester County Prison have assaulted him.
Baker, 29, was sent to the county prison after failing to post $100,000 bail and said in a letter to Daily Local News he was assaulted by guards in late July.
Baker alleges he was assaulted the evening of Sunday, July 30 as correctional officers tried to remove a TV from his cell that he claims he was permitted to have, according to the outlet.

His attorney said the alleged assault resulted in a dislocated shoulder, concussion, and other injuries.
The outlet reports the prison said no formal complaint against the officers has been filed, which means no there is no investigation into the accusation.

Baker was arrested June 5 in Chester County after being on the run for weeks following the alleged assault at a West Chester 7-Eleven in May.
The incident led him to be charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. His alleged attempts at eluding law enforcement also led to a flight to avoid apprehension charge.
The incident, caught entirely on surveillance video at the store, caused a national uproar across social media when it first became public and charges against Baker were announced.
In the video, Baker is shown mocking the victim, making fun of his walk, before turning and sucker punching him in the face.
Baker, previously of Coatesville, once owned a landscaping business in the area. His address is now listed as Georgetown, Delaware.
Baker was formally arraigned Thursday, Aug. 10, court records show.
