Boxcar Brewpub live band benefit on Sunday, Nov. 15 for West Chester Food Cupboard

Join us from 2 to 8 p.m. at 142 E. Market St. in West Chester. Your $10 per person donation will help feed the hungry in our community.

To help feed the hungry and food insecure in our community, the Boxcar Brewpub is holding a live band benefit from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 in support of the West Chester Food Cupboard and its mission.

Family owned and operated, the Boxcar Brewpub opened its doors for business at 142 E. Market St. in West Chester early this summer and features locally crafted beers, Pennsylvania wines and cider, and a full pub menu.

Four popular local bands will perform an eclectic mix of music at the Food Cupboard event. They include:

  • Gnawgahides - bluegrass
  • Big Band Theory - jazz/swing
  • Only Human - rock
  • Bluebone - electric blues-rock

All proceeds from a $10 per person donation at the door will benefit the Food Cupboard.

“We are deeply grateful to the Boxcar Brewpub for their generosity in sponsoring this event and for their commitment to our community,” said Fiona Allison, Secretary, West Chester Food Cupboard Board of Directors.

“The need is great,” she stated. “With their help, we hope to continue to expand the number of clients we serve.”
Each month, the Food Cupboard distributes fresh and non-perishable healthful food items to more than 600 households or about 1,500 individuals in West Chester.
