Have you been curious about alcohol inks? Our Intuitive Abstract Painting with Alcohol Inks workshop is perfect for someone who has no experience to someone who wants more experience using a variety of different surfaces and tools.
In this class, you will begin by working on a blank 6″ x 6″ ceramic tile, exploring the intuitive nature of inks and the fine balance between controlling them and allowing the painting to process naturally. From there, you will apply inks to a variety of surfaces including synthetic papers and canvas, using tools such as paintbrushes, foam brushes, and cool air flow to move and manipulate the inks.
The class concludes with a thorough review of how to finish your work, with a focus on colorfastness and longevity, and you will go home with several frame-worthy pieces of your own creation.
