Chesco Road Rage Killer's Plea For Lesser Sentence Rejected
A judge swiftly rejected David Desper's request for a more lenient punishment than his 20-40 prison sentence.

CHESTER COUNY, PA — A judge swiftly rejected the request of a convicted road rage killer this week for a more lenient punishment than his 20-40 prison sentence.
Chester County Judge Ann Marie Wheatcraft denied the motion for reconsideration of sentence put forth by David Desper, 30, who was convicted last month on charges third-degree murder and possession of an instrument of crime.
Wheatcraft gave no comment in her dismissal of the motion, which was originally filed on Dec. 21.

Desper's lawyer Daniel McGarrigle had previously told the Daily Local News that there was "absolutely nothing to suggest that this was anything more than a tragic mistake by a kind, gentle, and caring man that has lived an otherwise exemplary life."
That "mistake" resulted in the death of Bianca Roberson, a West Chester Rustin High School graduate, who had planned to attend Jacksonville University in the fall on a four-year merit scholarship to study criminal justice.
