Chester Co. Man Convicted Of Murder Of Girlfriend And Pregnant Ex: DA
All of the events unfolded before the eyes of his one-year-old son, officials said.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A Chester County man who shot and killed his girlfriend as well as a woman pregnant with his unborn child has been found guilty of all charges filed against him, including three counts of murder.
Mamadou Kallie, 26, of Valley Township, faces a minimum of life in prison.
The six-day trial went over the horrific series of events, which occurred in front of Kallie's one-year-old son and which the Chester County district attorney called "difficult to fathom."

Kallie shot Ortiz-Zayas, who was five months pregnant with his child. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

He then turned the gun on his girlfriend at the time, Tiara Rodriguez-Diaz. First responders rushed her to Paoli Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
“To the family and friends of the victims Tiara Rodriguez-Diaz and Kimberly Ortiz-Zayas, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers," Valley Township Police Department Chief Glenn Eckman said. "I hope that you find some closure now that the trial has ended."
Kallie's son, who was just under 2 years old at the time, was in the backseat of a car during the shootings. He was uninjured but all the events unfolded in front of him.
Kallie fled the area and carjacked a vehicle in East Bradford Township around an hour later, but was captured by police before midnight that night following a negotiation.
A judge will sentence Kallie in the coming weeks.
