Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Exton Holds Ladybug Release

Students celebrated the environment by releasing 4,000 beneficial bugs in their schoolyard

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Exton have caught the environmental bug! On April 20, students celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing 4,000 ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Many students dressed for the occasion in the likeness of ladybugs, wearing ladybug hats. Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Chesterbrook Academy teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
