Chesterbrook Academy in West Chester Donates 60 Pairs of Pajamas

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Ward Avenue in West Chester recently organized a pajama drive in support of Scholastic’s 9th Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. Students collected more than 60 pairs of pajamas for both children and adults in need in Chester County. Scholastic matched each pair of pajamas donated with a book donation. On Dec. 15, students celebrated their donation with a pajama day and story reading. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.

Since 2009, students nationwide have collected and donated more than 600,000 pairs of new pajamas through Scholastic’s Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. The Scholastic Book Clubs have more than matched those numbers by donating nearly one million new books directly to Pajama Program headquarters, where they are then distributed across the country.
