Citadel Steps Up as Presenting Sponsor for 5th Live United Event

This year's fundraiser features renowned pop vocal group Rockapella.

Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, United Way of Chester County will host the renowned pop vocal group Rockapella at its fifth annual Live United fundraiser on Thursday, November 30 at Penn Oaks Golf Club. Last year, this event netted more than $57,000 for United Way of Chester County Financial Stability Center which helps local residents to improve their financial situation and move toward self-sufficiency and independence.

Citadel is returning as this event’s Presenting Sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, assuring that people in Chester County will continue to have programs and services available to help them become financially stable and self sufficient. When asked why Citadel continues to support this fundraiser in such a big way, Mike Schnably, Senior Vice President said "this event is very special for Citadel because all of the proceeds benefit the United Way Financial Stability Center where people are helped every day to become financially stable and independent. We are honored to partner with United Way of Chester County for the fifth straight year as Presenting Sponsor to help them continue their commitment of helping people become self sufficient.”

When asked about this event and the financial stability center, Claudia Hellebush, president and CEO of United Way of Chester County said “when people are able to find decent jobs, provide for their families and save for the future, they are more likely to enjoy healthy lives and to help their kids succeed in school. We’re so grateful to have such strong support from the business community for our financial education services.”
