County Historical Society to Give Talk on Brandywine Battle
The Chester County Historical Society will host a talk on the involvement of Marshalton Village in the Revolutionary War Battle of the Brandywine.

The following is a press release from the Chester County Historical Society.
Join Linda Kaat, Vice President of Friends of Martin's Tavern, and Rob Lukens, Ph.D., Chester County Historical Society President for a retelling of the involvement of the Marshalton village in the Revolutionary War Battle of the Brandywine 235 years ago. Visitors can relive the eve of the battle, which took place on September 11, 1777. Just down the street from the Marshalton Inn is Centre House (Martin's Tavern) which figured prominently in the outcome of the Battle of the Brandywine. After the talk, guests can walk down to Martin's Tavern for a guided tour and return to the Four Dogs Tavern adjacent to the Marshalton Inn for dinner.
This brief 25-30 minute presentation will be followed by discussion, Q & A, and good conversation. And of course, there will be lots of great beer, and good food. History on Tap brings history to you in the casual atmosphere of your favorite local bar or restaurant. The program is free for the community to enjoy!
