Details Released For Funeral, Viewing Of PA State Trooper Killed In Chester Co.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — State authorities have released for details regarding the viewing and funeral services planned for Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy O'Connor, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in Chester County last weekend.

The viewing, which will be held at St. Joseph Parish on 338 Manor Avenue in Downingtown, is set for March 17 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. That event is public.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. at the same church the next morning. That service is private, but the state's Commonwealth Media Services will have a livestream online here.

Tributes to O'Connor poured in from around the state and country following the tragedy, which police said occurred after O'Connor pulled over a reckless driver in Honey Brook.

More than $100,000 has been raised to support O'Connor's family through the Help a Hero fund. Donations can also be made through check to the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association (PSTA) at 3625 Vartan Way, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Checks should be made out to the “Survivor’s Fund,” and “O’Connor” should be noted in the memo section.
