Dinniman to Mark 9/11 Anniversary

State Sen. Andy Dinniman will participate in several 9/11 anniversary events throughout Chester County.

State Senator Andy Dinniman will mark the 11th Anniversary of the September 11th attacks at several events in Chester County this week.

“For our nation and for each of us, there is no forgetting September 11, 2001. On that day and in the years that followed, we showed the world that by sticking together, relying on our courage and by standing up for our way of life, the United States can answer any challenge to freedom,” Dinniman said.

 “When we look back on 9/11, we don’t only remember the fallen. We also remember the brave men and women that continue to make America a beacon of hope throughout the world.”

Dinniman also thanked those who have served in our military before and after the attacks and encouraged residents to take a moment on Tuesday to remember those who gave their lives, as well as those who continue to serve in local fire, police and emergency services.

“The 9/11 attacks gave and continue to give us a renewed sense of appreciation for the fire, police and emergency services personnel that keep us safe, as well as for our troops in the military and all those who have served this nation throughout history,” he said.

Dinniman is scheduled to participate in several events this week. They are as follows:

On Tuesday, September 11, he will speak at the Graystone Society’s 11th Anniversary of the World Trade Center Commemoration at 8:30 a.m.

On Saturday, September 15, he will attend Malvern Fire Company’s 9/11 Memorial Service at 12 p.m.

Dinniman also urged residents and travelers to follow the advice of the Pennsylvania State Police in remaining vigilant for potential signs of terrorism approaching the anniversary of the attacks.

“Police and law enforcement can always use a second set of eyes. If you notice any behavior that seems out of the ordinary, please do your part to bring it to the attention of the authorities,” he said.
