Elderly Shooter Dies After Chester Co. Nursing Home Murder-Suicide: DA
The 90-year-old man shot an 89-year-old woman, who has now been identified as his wife, authorities said.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The shooter in the incident at a Chester County nursing home Thursday has died of his self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said Friday.
The district attorney's office has also confirmed that the shooter was the husband of the woman that he shot, and that the incident was a murder-suicide.
It occurred at the Manatawny Manor Nursing Home in East Coventry Township just before noon Thursday, Oct. 24.

The 90-year-old man shot and killed his 89-year-old wife, and then turned the weapon on himself, according to police.
The man, who has not been publicly identified, was taken to Reading Hospital Thursday. He died overnight.
