Exton Square Mall Reopens After Catching Fire 2 Straight Days
For the second straight day, crews battled a fire at Exton Square Mall.

EXTON, PA — For the second straight day, crews battled a fire at Exton Square Mall, leading the mall to be shut down for several hours.
The blaze began in the ceiling of the warehouse area of Macy's at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said. Ironically, that's almost the exact same time — 12:43 p.m. — that Monday's blaze at a mall nail salon was first reported to fire companies.
The mall was closed briefly as crews responded to the scene. The fire, which was electrical in nature, according to a mall spokesperson, was extinguished quickly.

Once PECO and the mall's electrical contractor arrived and secured the building's power, firefighters ventilated Macy's.
Though the mall opened at 2:30 p.m., Macy's will remain closed until further notice.
There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
West Whiteland Fire Company was assisted by Lionville, East Whiteland, Goshen, Minquas, First West Chester, Good Will, and East Brandywine fire companies on the scene, as well as Uwchlan Ambulance Corps.
