Fire Extinguished At Exton Square Mall

EXTON, PA — A fire at a business in the Exton Square Mall was extinguished Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 12:43 p.m. inside the back room of a nail salon in the mall.

Firefighters determined the blaze had originated from an exhaust fan there, authorities said.

The fire was contained to the nail salon, but smoke filled the salon and the nearby mall corridors, according to the West Whiteland Fire Company.

The area was ventilated. No injuries were reported.

Goshen, Lionville, Uwchlan, and First West Chester fire companies responded to the scene.

Just a day later on Tuesday, the mall caught fire yet again, this time in the warehouse area near Macy's. Read more here.
