Jon Breeden scored 22 points and Lance McDowell scored 19, but visiting West Chester dropped a 94-82 decision to host East Stroudsburg on Saturday afternoon inside Koehler Fieldhouse.

West Chester (9-9, 6-8 PSAC) saw its three-game winning streak in conference play snapped as East Stroudsburg (12-8, 8-6) held onto third place in the league standings with the win. The Golden Rams still maintain their fourth-place slot, despite the setback.

East Stroudsburg shot 55.8 percent from the field (29-for-52), including scorching the nets from 3-point range at a 62.5 percent clip (10-for-16). The Warriors’ Whis Grant was 7 of 8 from the field, which included a 4-for-5 showing behind the arc, to equal Breeden’s game-high of 22 points. ESU put five players in double figures as a result of its shooting performance Saturday.

The Golden Rams shot it at a 42.6 percent pace (26-for-61) and made 24 of 29 free throws (82 percent), showing why they are currently ranked in the top six in the country in foul shooting. However, East Stroudsburg just outdistanced West Chester as a result of its outside shooting.

McDowell finished with his second straight double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds to go along with his 19 points. He now has four double-doubles on the year. Troy Hockaday added 12 points off the bench for the Rams.

West Chester returns home to face Mansfield on Wednesday evening in another pivotal PSAC matchup inside Hollinger Field House. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
