Gun Control Group Mobilizes In West Chester

Gun Sense Chester County aims to educate the public about gun safety and to advocate for "common sense measures to reduce gun violence."

WEST CHESTER, PA -- A new gun control nonprofit is getting a new look in Chester County.

Gun Sense Chester County, formerly known as the Chester County Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence, is holding a public meeting to education the community about their mission.

The "Guns Around Town" presentation on gun regulations will take place on Tuesday, April 11 at the Church of the Loving Shepherd, which is located on 1066 S. New Street, in West Chester.

Organizers said that the renaming of their organization will go along with a renewed mission to reach out to members of the community to discuss gun issues that affect them on a local level.

In the past, Gun Sense has advocated banning FedEx due to its support for the National Rifle Association.
