'Heavy Volume' Of Traffic Expected In Chester Co. For State Trooper Funeral
What to know about the services, road closures, and more Tuesday as the region lays a fallen hero to rest.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The escort procession for Corporal Timothy O'Connor, the Pennsylvania State Trooper who was killed in Chester County on March 8, will be held on Tuesday.
State police say there will be a "heavy volume" of traffic around the area Tuesday, with delays likely.
The procession will begin from North Church Street in West Chester at 2 p.m., at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith, and Boyd Funeral Home. North Church Street will be shut down starting at around noon.

Manor Avenue will also be closed near St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown at 2 p.m. The viewing is set for 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Parish, which is on 338 Manor Avenue.
The funeral service Wednesday is private, but will be livestreamed online and can be viewed on the Pennsylvania State Police Facebook page.

Closures on Wednesday include:
- Manor Avenue from Rock Raymond Road to East Pennsylvania Avenue, from 6:00 a.m. until approximately 3:00 p.m.
- All ramps from SR 30 bypass to Manor Ave. (SR 322) starting at approximately 11:00 a.m.
- Manor Road from Horseshoe Pike to Culbertson Run Road starting at approximately 1:00 p.m.
- Rolling closures of Horseshoe Pike (SR 322) from Lancaster Avenue to Manor Road (SR 82) beginning at approximately 1:00 p.m.
O'Connor, 40, was killed in Honey Brook on March 8 after pulling over a reckless driver. After shooting O'Connor, the driver then killed himself, police said.
O'Connor leaves behind a wife and six-year-old daughter.
More than $100,000 has been raised to support O'Connor's family through the Help a Hero fund.
