MALVERN, PA — Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Congresswoman from California and the former Speaker of the House, will be in Chester County Friday to speak at a special event.
Pelosi will speak at the Chester County Democratic Women's Leadership Initiative Fall Gala, which will beheld at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern on Friday.
"Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who will speak about the power of women in politics, and importance of women at all levels of the political structure," according to event organizers.

Pelosi, a Democrat from San Francisco, California (12th District), was Speaker of the House from 2007 to 2011 and is now the Democratic leader in the House of Representatives.
The event comes less than a month ahead of the midterm elections.
