It’s called TNVR: trap, neuter, vaccinate, and return.

TNVR programs help reduce and eliminate both diseases and unmanageable populations of cats, making the streets safer for both feral cats and house cats that make the occassional jailbreak into the streets.

Friday, October 16 is National Feral Cat Day, and shelters in Montgomery County and Chester County are using the day to raise awareness for their TNVR policies and Community Cat Programs.

In Chester and Delaware Counties, the SPCA offers free neutering and spaying. Traps can be rented and many vaccinations are available for a cheap price.
