Preschool Volunteers Start Making a Difference to Coatesville’s Youngest Leaners

Local volunteers will be sharing their hobbies with children and providing an extra set of hands to teachers this fall.

UNIFY volunteers recently started in preschool classrooms at the Gordon Early Literacy Center in Coatesville. They’ll be providing an extra set of hands to teachers and sharing their hobbies and interests with children this fall. Pictured from left to right are CCIU Head Start Supervisor Tamara Acuna, Darla Dadey, Elizabeth Belmont, Linda Kozlowski, Laverne Adams, and United Way’s VP of Community Investment Terry Kenworthy.

There’s still time to sign up to volunteer at the teacher’s prep station or in the classrooms! Volunteers are especially needed for Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, as well as afternoon shifts throughout the week. To volunteer or get more information, contact Terry Kenworthy, VP Community Investment, at 610-429-9400 or tkenworthy@uwchestercounty.org.
