Report: Chester County Hospital Lays Off 45 Employees

According to the Daily Local, the confirmed Monday that 45 full time employees were laid-off last week.

“In response to downward pressure on health-care revenues across the industry, the Chester County Hospital came to the painful conclusion that a reduction in our work force would be required to respond to this trend,” hospital spokeswoman Coleen Leonard Leyden told the Daily Local.

According to the Daily Local:

Leyden said the focus of the action was on administrative and supervisory positions in order to minimize the impact on direct patient care areas.
