"If you didn't have a place to stay she would sleep in the car with you and go so far as to give you the shirt off her back."

WEST CHESTER, PA — The 18-year-old West Chester Rustin High School graduate killed in a road rage shooting last week was a deeply caring and compassionate woman who had aspirations of "saving the world," her obituary reflects.

Roberson's life was tragically cut short on Wednesday, June 28 when she was shot while driving on Route 100 just north of Route 202.

In the wake of the incident, a manhunt that spanned Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey was launched for her accused killer. Over several days, police tracked down the red pickup truck driven by the suspect when Roberson was killed. And then on Sunday, 28-year-old David Desper of Trainer, turned himself in with his lawyer.

The preliminary hearing for Desper is set for July 13 at 9 a.m. in West Chester, court documents show.
