The project should end after this week.

Nighttime construction is scheduled on Route 202 between Route 100 and Matlack Street in West Goshen Township, Chester County over the next week to complete the $19.3 million improvement project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.

Weather permitting, construction crews will work at night to install safety rumble strips and reflective pavement markers, paint traffic lines and pave areas along shoulders and ramps.

Route 202 motorists will face single-lane patterns tonight and tomorrow night (May 17-18) and Sunday through Friday (May 20-25). Northbound lane closures will occur each night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and southbound restrictions will last from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Drivers are advised to allow more time for travel on Route 202 or use an alternate route during construction because backups and delays will occur.

PennDOT is nearing completion of the project to improve this 4.3-mile section of Route 202. Weather permitting, construction is expected to finish by Memorial Day weekend with final cleanup activities done by the end of May.
