UPDATE: Tornado Confirmed By NWS

Meteorologists will be looking into reports of funnel clouds in Honey Brook and West Goshen during Tuesday's storms.

UPDATE: The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Honey Brook, Chester County.

Tornado sightings in Chester and Lehigh counties during Tuesday night’s storms are under investigation by the National Weather Service, officials there said.

Specifically, meteorologists will be looking into reports of funnel clouds in Honey Brook and West Goshen.

“We know there’s wind damage and significant damage to a number of neighborhoods,” Meteorologist Walter Drag told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The National Weather Service is expected to determine if there were tornados in Pennsylvania this afternoon, the Inquirer reported.

Robert Kagel, the Director of Emergency Services in Chester County, said officials there are looking for videos of the tornado sightings. NWS_MountHolly investigating possible tornadoes today. If you have VIDEO of Honey Brook or West Goshen tornadoes tag @CCDES,” Kagel said via Twitter.
