Trash Truck Collides with School Bus In Chester County

Breaking: One person was trapped after a trash truck collided with a school bus in Chester County Thursday.

A dump truck collided with a school bus in Chester County on Thursday afternoon, leaving one individual trapped, authorities said.

Chester County Working Fires first reported the incident at about 2:10 p.m. It occurred in West Brandywine Township near the intersection of Routes 322 and 82.

The victim was trapped under the dashboard of the bus and was safely extracted within minutes after authorities arrived on the scene, officials said.

No students were on the bus at the time of the accident.

Crews remained on the scene at 3 p.m.
