Victory Beer Among America's Best, Mental Floss Says

DOWNINGTOWN, PA – Victory Brewing Company is a Chester County staple. Since its founding in 1996, it's been brewing up all kinds of beers, offering something to wet even the most discerning beer drinker's whistle

One of its flagship brews, the Prima Pils, was recently featured among America's 50 best beers in a list from Mental Floss, a pretty nice honor in our opinion.

Pilsners may not draw the most beer-geek hype, but a clean, crisp example with just a bit of a floral hop bite on the finish can be heaven on a hot day. Or any day, really. If you’re looking for an American pilsner, look no further than Victory’s excellent take on the style that’s a little grassy, a little toasty, and extremely delicious.

Victory says Prima Pils is best with seafood, pizza, and burgers. The beer has a 5.3 percent alcohol content and is best served at 42 degrees Fahrenheit.

Two other Pennsylvania brewers made the list, and one is pretty close to Victory. Well, relatively close.

Philadelphia Pale Ale from Yards Brewing Company in Philadelphia also found itself on Mental Floss' list.

Troegs Independent Brewing in Hershey had its Troegenator featured on the list, as well.
