West Chester Schools Close Early Monday
Breaking: West Chester Area School District will close early Monday due to the coming storm.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- The West Chester Area School District will close early Monday due to the coming storm, officials announced.
With a wintry mix of sleet and snow planned to hit the area between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., the high school will begin dismissal at 11:15 a.m., according to Jim Scanlon, Superintendent.
Peirce and Stetson Middle Schools will then close at 11:50 a.m., followed by Exton, East Bradford, East Goshen, Glen Acres elementary schools at at 12:10 p.m.

Hillsdale, Fern Hill, Mary C. Howse, Penn Wood, Starkweather, and Westtown Thornbury elementary schools will close at 12:40 p.m.
Lunches will be served before dismissal at all schools that leave at 11:50 or later, officials said.

The district also said that A Child's Place will not have after-care, nor will any of the district's after-school or evening activities take place.
A winter weather advisory has been issued in Eastern Pennsylvania, the National Weather Service said.
