Former Williamsport bus driver accused of using AI to create inappropriate student images (local21news.com) — A former bus driver for the Williamsport Area School District has been charged after police say he secretly photographed students on his bus and used AI tools to create inappropriate images. Investigators report two identified child victims and say a phone search uncovered many illicit images. The suspect was arrested June 1 and is being held in Lycoming County Prison on $100,000 bail.

Pa. township supervisor seeks reconsideration of sanctions in Bass Pro Shops dispute (pennlive.com) — A Lycoming County township supervisor is asking a Williamsport-based judge to lift $500‑per‑day contempt fines over her refusal to sign a subdivision plan tied to a planned Bass Pro Shops near the closed Lycoming Mall. The dispute has left the township without a solicitor, raised fears the retailer could walk away, and spurred residents to circulate a petition seeking her removal.
