120 Fraudulent Checks Found In Lower Makefield Police Stop
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of recent criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week, including concert ticket fraud and a man found with numerous blank and fraudulent checks.

RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST —Oxford Valley Road and Route 1, reported at 10:20 p.m. Police on patrol began tracking a stolen vehicle out of Bordentown Township, NJ. The vehicle approached Route 1 and Oxford Valley Road and continued south on Route 1 before pulling into a gas station on Bellevue Avenue. Officers attempted to get the driver to comply with exiting the vehicle. The driver reached into his waistband and resisted arrest when officers attempted to detain him. The struggle continued until a K9 arrived on the scene when he eventually complied and was taken into police custody. He was searched and found to have 103 blank checks, fraudulent checks, printing instructions, a printer, 12 $5,000 checks, two $1,800 checks, and three additional checks as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The 34-year-old Morrisville man was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. Charges for check fraud are pending due to investigation. He was arraigned by District Justice O’Neil and sent to BCCF in lieu of $50,000 10 percent bail.

THEFT —700 block of Stony Hill Road at Giant Food Store, reported at 12:55 p.m. The complainant reported while in the produce department on Feb. 10, an unknown woman distracted them, asking about tomatoes. When the victim went to check out, they discovered their wallet missing from their purse. Their credit card was used at Sam’s Club and BJ’s for $3,000.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE —1400 block of Kathy Drive, reported at 10:23 a.m. The complainant reported sometime overnight, a suspect(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and removed a purse, $50 in cash, and a hair braiding kit.
FRAUD —1900 block of Sylvan Terrace, reported at 12:04 p.m. The complainant reported
purchasing $700 worth of concert tickets on Facebook Marketplace and not receiving
them.
