$200K Online Scam, ShopRite Thefts: Lower Makefield Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —A $200,000 online scam and lots of ShopRite thefts top the blotter of criminal incidents reported in the past week by the Lower Makefield Township Police Department.

FRAUD —2000 block of Leedoms Drive, reported at 9 a.m. The complainant reported winning a bid for a watch on eBay for $4,536.80. When the package arrived, the watch was not included.
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT —900 block of Taylor Lane, reported at 12:20 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a towing trailer.

Dec. 25
FRAUD —300 block of Rowantree Circle, reported at 7:48 a.m. The complainant reported sending $200,000 to someone they had met online thinking they were in trouble.

THEFTS:
- 600 block of Woodford Lane, reported at 10:27 a.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) removed all four rims and tires from their vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.
- 400 block of Ramsey Road, reported at 12:05 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of a package containing a laptop from their porch on Dec. 6.
RETAIL THEFT —900 block of Vansant Drive at Wegmans, reported at 4:48 p.m. Loss Prevention reported a retail theft in progress. While en route, police were notified the offender left the store. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle at Stony Hill Road and Route 332. The 44-year-old woman from Southampton was taken into police custody.
IDENTITY THEFT —800 block of Winthrop Drive, reported at 5:49 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) attempted to use their information to rent an apartment.
Dec. 23
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 2:20 p.m. Loss Prevention detained a 67-year-old Morrisville woman for underringing $45.24 worth of merchandise. She was taken into police custody and issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft.
Dec. 21
RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 11:41 a.m. Loss Prevention reported a known female under-scanned over 30 items, worth $298.66, at self-checkout. The 64-year-old Lower Makefield woman turned herself in and was summonsed for retail theft.
