“We’re looking for people who are passionate about food and share our core values of respect, caring, and high standards,” Store Manager Bill Platt said. “Candidates aren’t required to have a retail background as our employees receive in-depth, on the job training. At Wegmans, you’ll have endless opportunities to develop and grow your career.”

Wegmans’ status as a great place to work is widely recognized. In 2023, the family company placed fourth on FORTUNE magazine’s list of “The 100 Best Companies to Work For.”

The company has ranked highly on the list for 26 consecutive years. Employees cite an extensive array of benefits as the reason they chose Wegmans, including competitive pay and benefits packages, premium pay on Sundays and holidays, tuition assistance through the company’s employee scholarship program, and flexible scheduling.

In business since 1916, Wegmans now operates 109 stores in seven states and has more than 53,000 employees chainwide. Wegmans stores offer an abundance of choice, the best ingredients, thousands of organic options, restaurant-quality prepared food, and consistently low prices.

The company is set to open two locations in 2024: in Lower Makefield Township and Lake Grove, N.Y.

The development also includes nine multi-family buildings containing 200 apartment units plus a clubhouse with a pool, and seven commercial buildings totaling 52,000 square feet.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill will be opening its first Bucks County location there as well.

Meanwhile, an existing historic farmhouse and barn on the property will be preserved and repurposed.

Plans were approved for the project by DeLuca Homes in April 2021.
