3 Kohl's Incidents, $15K Fraud Top Lower Makefield Twp. Crimes
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —The Kohl's department store had several incidents over the past week and two of them did not involve retail thefts.

Dec. 21
RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST —Oxford Valley Road and Route 1, reported at 11:11 p.m. Police on patrol received an LPR hit on a stolen vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the 54-year-old Philadelphia woman was taken into police custody. A records check revealed she was wanted out of Chester County.

Dec. 20
FRAUD —1100 block of Quarry Road, reported at 7:21 a.m. The complainant reported receiving an email from who they believed to be Geek Squad stating they needed to access their computer to correct an issue. The victim was advised the cost was $15,000 and money was sent to an unknown person.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT —1600 block of Big Oak Road in Kohl’s parking lot, reported at 12:53 p.m. Police responded to the report of a motorist with flat tires appearing to be in distress. Further investigation led to the discovery of a meth pipe on his person. The 47-year-old man from Hamilton, N.J., was cited for Disorderly Conduct.

THEFT —1600 block of Langhorne-Yardley Road, reported at 11:24 a.m. The complainant reported the theft of a 300-foot fence.

BURGLARY —Unit block of Del Rio Drive, reported at 11:54 p.m. The complainant reported that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence via a front door
and removed plumbing supplies.
Dec. 16
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF —1600 block of Big Oak Road, reported at 12:59 p.m. The complainant reported an unknown person(s) smashed their rear passenger side window.
ATTEMPTED FRAUD —Unit block of North Manor Lane, reported at 1:42 p.m. The complainant
reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office stating they had a warrant for their arrest, and if they sent $2,500 through PayPal or Venmo, the warrant would be lifted. This number was spoofed and appeared to come from a Bucks County phone number.
ACCIDENT and DUI ARREST —1600 block of Big Oak Road in Kohl’s parking lot, reported at 5:20 p.m. Police responded to the report of a two-vehicle accident at the location. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 38-year-old male driver from Philadelphia for Driving Under the Influence.

ATTEMPTED RETAIL THEFT —1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 12:18 p.m. The store manager reported an unknown man entered the store, selected items, and walked toward the exit. The man dropped the items when confronted by store employees and fled in a white SUV.
