BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Looking for something to do on this snowy weekend in Bucks County?
The event calendar for Jan. 20 and 21 includes breakfast and magic at Sesame Place, bright lights at Shady Brook Farm, a political satire show at the Bucks County Playhouse, a special crafting event for "plant parents" at a local brewery, and vendors setting up fresh finds and handmade goods at the Doylestown farmer's market.

1. With the holiday season wrapped up, this could be a perfect time to catch the annual Shady Brook Farm Holiday Light Show in Lower Makefield Township before its final weekend next weekend. 2. On Sunday morning, a magical buffet breakfast is going on at Sesame Place Philadelphia for kids and families. Magician Sam Sandler joins character Abby Cadabby and her Sesame Street friends, and will dazzle attendees with tricks and illusions right before your eyes. “Abby’s Magical Magician Ball Dine” begins at 11 a.m., and is located in the Dine with Elmo & Friends section of the park (ticket includes a buffet breakfast).

3. As part of the Visiting Artists Series, the Bucks County Playhouse welcomes The Capitol Fools for a new musical satire about politics, as they “ hold up a mirror to our crazy political culture, providing hilarious song parodies and foolish reflections that continue to inspire belly-laughter.” The group features former members of The Capitol Steps, a political satire group. Shows run at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

4. Looking for something fresh to brighten up your dinner table on these cold nights? The Doylestown Farmers Market will be open as scheduled (at last check) on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Central Bucks Senior Center (700 Shady Retreat Road), Doylestown. Vendors include: Apple Ridge Farm, Bucks County Alpacas, Jenifermented, Luv Superfoods, Marie’s Soap, Perfect Day Coffee, and Primordia Mushrooms.

5. Crafts, plants, and tasty beverages intersect for a special workshop on Sunday at Vault Brewing Company in Yardley. Learn how to make a macrame plant hanger with Nicole of NicoleBrandecker Art, and sip on your favorite Vault beer or have a non-alcoholic beverage while you craft a hanger for your favorite potted plant. Tickets ($45) include all materials needed, plus one drink of choice (excludes cocktails).
