5K Any Way & Color Fun Run Set In Lower Makefield Township

The Lower Makefield Township Parks and Recreation Department is holding the event Saturday at Macclesfield Park.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Anyone wanna race? You can do it any way you prefer: Running, walking and even rolling.

The Lower Makefield Township Parks and Recreation Department will hold its "5K Any Way & Color Fun Run for Accessibility" on Saturday.

The event is open to anyone of all abilities and supports Parks and Recreation's efforts to make all township community parks more accessible to all residents.

Residents can bring their family, friends, and neighbors to participate in either the 5K Color Fun Run or 1 Mile Color Fun Run.

Children age 5 and under are free.

During the race, participants will pass through color zones and get showered with vibrant colors. The event ends with a color celebration when participants who wish gather together and throw even more color into the air.

The race is on a flat and fast course in Macclesfield Park with a race distance of 3.1 miles or the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at Macclesfield Park on 1000 River Rd.

Registration must be completed online by Friday. On-site registration will be available as space permits.

The race check-in is at 7 a.m. with a start time of 8 a.m. The race is rain or shine.

5K participants will be toward the front of the start line and 1-mile participants will follow.

The cost is $35 for pre-registration and $40 on-site for township residents and $40 for pre-registration and $46 on-site for non-residents.
