LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for this past week.
These are the criminal incidents:
Aug. 12
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — Plaza Boulevard and West Trenton Avenue, reported at 1:47 a.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A further investigation led to the discovery of a small amount of marijuana. The 21-year-old male driver from Trenton, N.J. was cited for Disorderly Conduct.
RETAIL THEFTS:
MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT — Unit block of Taylorsville Road, reported at 4:54 p.m. The complainant reported the theft of their 2015 Chevrolet Corvette from their driveway sometime around 2 a.m. An investigation is ongoing.
Aug. 11
FRAUD — 800 block of Duchess Drive, reported at 2:03 p.m. Th complainant reported a breach of their checking account where someone changed their address, phone number, and email address and transferred $5,000 to another bank account in Ohio.
Aug. 10
FRAUD — 600 block of Stony Hill Road, reported at 1:42 p.m. The complainant reported posting a Rolex watch on eBay for $7,000. An interested buyer advised the victim that they would send the money to an eBay escrow account for later distribution. The victim realized after mailing the watch that this was a scam. An investigation ongoing.
RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 3:30 p.m. A store manager reported a woman had entered the store and was being followed by Loss Prevention as she had stolen $128.86 worth of merchandise from the store on July 11 and 12. The thefts were captured on surveillance which was reviewed by police. The 38-year-old woman from Morrisville was told that she would be cited for the two previous retail thefts.
SOLICITING WITHOUT PERMIT — Unit block of Brook Lane, reported at 6:40 p.m. The complainant reported a solicitor for EMT Solar and Roofing was soliciting without a permit. A records check revealed the 29-year-old man from Dallas, TX, had a nonextraditable warrant out of Arkansas for traffic offenses. He was cited for Soliciting Without a Permit.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT — 500 block of West Trenton Avenue, reported at 11:31 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A Further investigation led to the discovery of a small amount of marijuana. The 26-year-old male driver from Trenton, N.J., was cited for Disorderly Conduct.
