Mountain Oaks Road Targeted For Vehicle Break-Ins: Lower Makefield Crimes

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week, including numerous vehicle break-ins or attempts.

Aug. 25

FRAUD:

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE — 14000 block of Cornerstone Drive, reported at 3:01 p.m. Police responded to the report of a stolen vehicle pinging in the area. A Toyota Camry stolen out of Philadelphia was recovered.

Aug. 24

TRAFFIC OFFENSE ARREST — Quarry Road and Lindenhurst Road, reported at 11:35 a.m. Police on patrol attempted to stop a motorcycle for violations. The motorcycle fled upon observing police. Further investigation led to the identity of the 19-year-old male driver from Holland. He admitted to fleeing and was taken into police custody for Fleeing & Eluding, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and related charges.

THEFT — 5500 block of Spruce Mill Drive, reported at 12:35 p.m. The complainant reported that multiple checks totaling $3,000 were written out to a known person without their authorization. Investigation ongoing.

TRAFFIC ARREST — Big Oak Road and Oxford Valley Road, reported at 9:29 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. Further investigation led to the arrest of the 47-year-old male driver from Morrisville for operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock. He was taken into custody.
